Object lesson - Christmas: Puzzle - 5. Missing piece of the puzzle
Put the cross into the centre of the Christmas Puzzle and Christmas is complete!
After finishing with the act about the magi you return to the puzzle on the board behind you. In shock you realize there is a hole in your Christmas puzzle. How is that possible? What are we missing? We have a Christmas tree, some lights, nice food and even presents. Why is there a hole?
In this idea I demonstrate the use of the Christmas puzzle as the main story line in a Christmas show.

Fifth piece of the Christmas puzzle: a giant cross
Let's start...
Activity
You look for the last time in the folder and discover a giant cross. Why a cross? The cross is a symbol for the reason why Jesus came on earth. You can tell this as shortly or as elaborately as you want.
But you have a problem. The cross doesn't fit into the hole. What to do? Ask one of the children to help you. They can move a couple of the puzzle pieces so that the puzzle works. You have to start with the cross. Once you put the cross into the centre of Christmas you are ready to really celebrate.
This cross helps you introduce the real meaning of the coming of Jesus
