Game - NT: Easter 02 - Palm Sunday 2: Can you guess who Jesus really is?
A fun game you can play during your programme on Jesus entering Jerusalem
In the story of Palm Sunday, the people who saw Jesus didn't really know who he was. They expected a powerful king who would defeat their enemies and make their nation great again, but Jesus came as a humble servant and king of peace. In this game, we will challenge the children to use their senses and knowledge to guess who is in front of them. By doing so, we will help them understand the importance of seeing beyond appearances and recognizing the true nature of Jesus.
In this game, you need to use your sense of touch, sight, and maybe even your hearing to win. It also helps if you know the other players well. For three years, the people had seen and heard Jesus, but they did not really know him. How well do you know the other children in the group?
This activity is part of a complete Sunday school lesson on the story of Jesus entering Jerusalem on a donkey in Luke 19: 28-40.
