Tell:
Zechariah says in his song that God has not forgotten his holy promise to Abraham.
He promises them that he will save the people from their enemies. He will make sure this promise comes true, for God never forgets anything.
For us as ordinary people, it is much harder not to forget anything. We often forget very small things like the groceries.

Do:
Show the children a shopping list and read out the ten products that are on it. Read them a second time. Ask the children to remember these ten things.

Do:
Put fifteen different objects on the table.
Stand around the table as a group and name all fifteen objects. Ask a child to stand outside the room for a moment and then take an object away.
Can the child see which object has disappeared?
Repeat this a number of times.

Tell:
Sometimes it is difficult to remember everything properly. How nice to know that God never forgets anything, especially not what He has promised and how much He loves us.

Do:
Show the full shopping bag without letting the children see what is in it.

Ask:
Ask the children if they remember which ten groceries you had to buy.
For each correct answer, take the right thing out of the bag. Can the children make sure that the whole bag is emptied?
