Bible story: The weeds

Creative activities based on the Bible story of The weeds

The Parable of the Weeds is a story told by Jesus in Matthew 13:24-30 and 36-43. In this parable, a farmer plants wheat in his field, but an enemy comes at night and sows weeds among the wheat. When the wheat and weeds begin to grow together, the farmer's workers ask him if they should pull up the weeds. The farmer tells them to leave the weeds alone, so as not to damage the wheat. He says that the weeds will be separated from the wheat at harvest time and burned.

Jesus uses this parable to teach about the coexistence of good and evil in the world, and the ultimate judgment that will come at the end of time. He encourages us to trust in God's justice and to resist the temptation to judge or remove others who we perceive as "weeds."
