Walk-in activity - OT: Jonah (2) Jonah and the small worm - Welcome to Jonah’s plant
God’s love brings shade, comfort, and care
As the children enter, they are welcomed into the shade of ‘Jonah’s plant.’ Together they create a large ‘tree of God’s love.’ As they add leaves to the tree, they discover how the plant in Jonah 4 is a picture of God’s loving care - even when Jonah himself did not see it at that moment.
This idea is part of a complete Sunday school lesson based on Jonah chapters 3 and 4, which tell the story of the repentance of Nineveh, Jonah's frustration at this, the plant and the worm.
