A playful craft to bring Jonah’s plant and God’s surprising lessons to life
In Jonah 4 a beautiful plant grows that gives Jonah shade. But then something unexpected happens: a small worm eats the plant! This walk-in activity helps children to creatively imagine this moment in the story. They discover that even a worm has a role in God’s story with Jonah - and with us.
This idea is part of a complete Sunday school lesson based on Jonah chapters 3 and 4, which tell the story of the repentance of Nineveh, Jonah's frustration at this, the plant and the worm.
