Craft - Mary Anoints Jesus: A Heart for Jesus
A colourful weaving craft inspired by Mary anointing Jesus, helping children explore love, devotion and what it means to give Jesus their heart
Mary showed Jesus how much he meant to her through a beautiful and generous act of love. She gave something precious because Jesus was precious to her.
In this Bible craft for children, children make a colourful woven heart while thinking about love for Jesus. As they thread wool or string backwards and forwards across the heart, you can talk together about what it means to love Jesus, to trust him and to show that love in everyday life.
This craft works especially well alongside the Bible story of Mary anointing Jesus’ feet and can be used in Sunday school, children’s church, a Bible club or at home. It is a simple hands-on activity about love, worship, devotion and giving your heart to Jesus.
