What is heaven? For many Christians, heaven is the home of God, Jesus and the angels. It is also the place where deceased believers go to be united with God and their loved ones. Many believers believe that heaven is a temporary home until God creates the new earth. 

The topic of heaven is a sensitive one and should be treated very carefully. Some children will have already come into contact with death, because of the death of a pet, a grandfather or grandmother, or perhaps another relative. Others will not have yet. If they are ready, we can help them sensitively to think about the topic of heaven.
