1. Look at the bronze snake and you will live!
The Israelites all grumble. They are angry with God. They go to Moses and they say to God and Moses ; ‘Why did you take us away from Egypt? Do you want us to die here in the desert? We don’t want to eat that horrible manna anymore!’All of a sudden snakes come creeping into the tent camp. That is dangerous. The snakes are poisonous. The people run away from the snakes.

2. The ministry of John the Baptist
If someone wants to give you a message, what's the best way of doing it? Telephone? E-mail? Write a letter? If you didn't have any of those, how would you tell someone the message? Yes - go and tell them yourself! Before Jesus came, there was a special messenger. He was Jesus' cousin!

3. Zacchaeus, come down quickly, because I must stay at your house today.
Ask the children if they know what a tax collector is. You could play a game in which you pretend to be a tax collector. Give the children some coins (play coins or real coins) and say that you have come to collect the tax that they owe.

4. Lydia is thankful for God’s church
It’s the Sabbath, the rest day for the Jewish people. There is a group of people standing by the river in Philippi. They are all women. They have come together to pray. They believe in the Lord God and love him a lot. One of the women is called Lydia. She is a very rich woman. She sells beautiful red and purple material that you can use to make wonderful clothes.

5. Eutychus falls from a window sill in church
God has brought Eutychus back to life again! On Sunday the people go to the church. It’s not a normal church, but it’s quite a high building. On the third floor, at the top, there’s a large room, and everyone gathers there, because that’s where Paul is going to talk. There are lots of people there. Everyone wants to hear Paul speaking. Eutychus is there too. He’s a boy and he wants to listen to Paul too.

6. David fights with Goliath
You may have a sword and a spear, but I come to you in the name of the LORD. David went down to the stream which separated the two armies. He picked out five small smooth stones, just right. GOLIATH couldn't believe his eyes! He couldn't hope to win! Sending out a little loser like that! How dare they insult him!

7. Saul transforms into Paul on the Damascus Road
“Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?" Saul was so determined to stamp out this idea, that when he heard there was another group of Jesus' friends spreading the same rumour in Damascus, he set off down the road from Jerusalem to Damascus to deal with it once and for all.

8. The calling of Peter
Follow me and I will make you a fishers of men... "Who likes to go fishing? I wonder if you're the sort of person who comes home and says “Wow, mum, I caught a really big fish that was thiiiis big ... and I put it back”?. You know fishermen are always going on about how big the catch was - even if they're not quite truthful!

Shout a bit louder, maybe Baal is asleep! "Elijah let the prophets of Baal have first turn. They built the altar, put on the wood and the meat. All the people were watching. The people didn't know that the prophets of Baal used to use tricks to light their fires when they were back down in the city, but up here on Mount Carmel with everybody watching, they couldn't use any tricks at all.

11. The healing of the lame man at the Beautiful Gate
I don't have any silver or gold - I don't have any money - but I do have something I can give to you... Peter leans over and takes the man by his right hand, and says "In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!". As the beggar takes hold of Peter's hand he feels an amazing tingling warmth go right through him, down his arm, into his body, through to his legs and feet - and - starts - to - get - up!
