Bible story: ‘Jesus calms the storm’ - trust in Jesus / Jesus’ power / sketchboard

“Master! Master! Wake up! We're going to drown! Don’t you care?"

"It had been a long, hot day, and sitting up on the hillside were hundreds and hundreds of people.  They had all come there to listen to one man.  This man was really special - he healed people and talked to them about God.  Who am I talking about?  Yes, JESUS.  There were all kinds of people, big and small, old and young - and Jesus talked with them all.

Sometimes we may think that were not very important or special but to Jesus every person is special and important.  He told them all about God - not about a God who is far away, but about God who is very close to each one of us, and cares about us.

At the end of the day, Jesus was very tired!  He said to his special friends, his disciples, “Lets get into a boat and go across the lake to find somewhere to rest”.  So they all got into the boat.  When Jesus got into the boat, he was so tired that he found a nice place to curl up in, and ...zzzzzz... he fell asleep..."
