HOW WE HANDLE YOUR DATA

Under the GDPR law (known as AVG in Europe), companies must comply with a number of standards regarding data retention and protection from May 25, 2018. Companies must also indicate how they handle sensitive personal information.

On this page, we explain how we handle this. We are still discovering what does and does not apply to us, so the following is subject to ongoing insights. We will adjust this text as new insights make it necessary. The date of the last revision is at the top of this text. Any inaccuracies in this text cannot be grounds for any legal action.

Identity
Our identity is Creatief Betrokken. I am registered as a VOF in the Chamber of Commerce under number 27312163.

Careful Handling of Your Data
We handle your data as carefully as possible. We also treat the data of your contacts with the utmost care.

Inventory
The following data is stored: first and last name; company name; address; postal code; city; phone numbers (mobile and landline); email addresses; websites; dates of last contact; our email exchanges; your bank details; and your Chamber of Commerce number.

Legal Bases and Objectives
The legal bases on which we store your data are 'performance of a contract' and 'legitimate interest.' Your data is stored for two purposes: executing your assignments and showcasing my work (via Direct Marketing and Social Media Marketing).

Sensitive Information
In principle, we do not store sensitive information. That is not the nature of our business. Therefore, information on skin color, religion, sexual orientation, medical issues, etc., is not included in our data.

Confidentiality
Your data is treated confidentially. It is not handed over to third parties.

Storage, Protection, and Duration
Your data is stored in our financial administration, email program, calendar, and newsletter program. The security of our data is basic. The mentioned programs are protected with a password/username, and our network is protected by a firewall. Our website stores all data you leave on our contact form. Our website is secured against intrusion and hacking. My phone syncs with this data, and it is also protected with a code.
I regularly clean up my data. Data of contacts with whom I no longer have any further communication is deleted from my systems after 5 years.

Liability
Neither I nor my company can be held liable for damage you suffer from the use of your data that occurs without my permission.

Consent
Anyone who uses my contact form and/or assigns a task indicates that I may store his or her data in the manner indicated above and for the purposes indicated above.

Access
You have the right at any time to request the data I have stored about you, insofar as it falls under the GDPR law. You will receive a response within four weeks.

Complaints
If you have any issues with the data I have stored about you, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
